Principal's Update

Greetings Bulldog Families,

Welcome back to the second semester and to 2025! I hope you all had time to recharge and connect with friends and family over the break. We are looking forward to the second half of the school year and there are many upcoming events we are excited about!

It's time to order a yearbook! Don't miss out on all the memories your child has made this year! See below for details on ordering an Oak Prairie yearbook.

Jan. 15th - Lockport High School Band Step-Up Day (8th Graders)
Jan. 16th - Lockport Choir Step-up Day (8th Graders)

Jan. 21st-28th - ACCESS Testing for EL Students
Jan. 21st - BOE Meeting
Jan. 28th - OP Jazz Ensemble Concert @ Ludwig School (7pm)
Jan. 31st - Glow Party - 6-8pm at OP
Feb 4th - 6th - Boys Volleyball Tryouts (see flyer)
Feb. 7th - SIP Day - 10:55 Dismissal
Feb. 13th - d92 Solo and Ensemble Festival @ OP (4-8pm)

Lunch Procedures

Students use their ID to pay for a school lunch. If they do not have their ID they can still get a lunch charged to their account, but they are not allowed to purchase a-la-carte items without their ID.

You can add money to their ID by sending a cash or check to school or by using MySchoolBucks.

SOS After School Academic Support

Is your child in need of extra support with homework, studying, or reteaching? SOS will run every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and students can take the activity bus home after SOS. The Activity Bus Permission Slip must be on file with the office before a student is allowed to ride the bus.
