POLYGRAPH EXPERT VISITS BATH TECH
Criminal Justice had Maine State Police Detective Hurd in class teaching us about the Polygraph (a tool most people understand to be a "lie detector".) We learned how the polygraph is used in pre-employment screening as well as criminal investigations. We learned what actions may affect your ability to obtain a job in Criminal Justice even if these actions occur as early as your high school years. The polygraph measures your psychophysiological reactions. These are things we have no control over such as heart rate, sweat, breathing, and more.

TOOLS AND SCHOLARSHIP FOR CARPENTRY
Bath Tech each first-year carpentry student was generously gifted tools from Hammond Lumber to help with the construction of the next Bath Rotary House. Matthew Stelzer from Hammond Lumber and Lee Patenaude of Bath Rotary Club were on hand to present the tools and to talk with students. The tools included a tool belt, hammer, tape measure, case knife, carpenter square, chalk line, and various other tools that will be essential in the building of the house. Rotary will also be providing several $1000 scholarships this spring to seniors who complete our program and choose to go on to college. Our partnership with Bath Rotary started in 1973 and Hammond Lumber in 2009, and we look forward to these partnership continuing for many years to come. Thank you Hammond Lumber and Bath Rotary.
WHAT'S NEW IN PRE ENGINEERING?
