Start the Year off with Great Communication!
In preparation for the start of the 2024-2025 school year, we would like to remind our families about our communication methods. Our primary mode of communication is email and, for urgent matters, such as school delays/closures or important events, we also send text messages and phone calls. Coupled with the district website, social media, school and district-wide newsletters, information about our schools, staff, students, programs, events and resources is always at your fingertips! Thank you for supporting our school communication efforts and your child’s education!
Our website - www.wsdweb.org - has all the latest news, events and resources. For quick access to back to school information, visit the Parent Hub and our Back to School webpage for supply lists and other reminders. If you haven’t yet, watch our short video below to learn about the website features.
Infinite Campus: Parent Portal
In order to receive timely and effective communication, it is essential for all parents, K-12, to maintain up-to-date contact information including email and phone numbers in the Infinite Campus Portal. Your child’s teacher assignment/class schedules will be communicated via Infinite Campus on Monday, August 19. Additionally, Infinite Campus houses: Student ID and Demographic Information, Student Schedule, Overall Course Grades/Marking Period Grade (Report Cards), Attendance, Health Records, Discipline and Fees. For more information, visit the Infinite Campus Support Page and contact your child’s school if you need assistance.

Visit our Schoology webpage for more information on setting up an account. Note: Families with students entering grade 6 or families who are new to the district will receive their Schoology access code to set up their account during the first week of school.

WSD Phone Retrieval Line
Did you miss an automated phone call from the school district? No worries! You can use the WSD call retrieval line to replay automated phone messages that the district sends via School Messenger. This will ensure deliverability in cases where you miss a call, someone else answers the call, your voice mail is full, a cell phone call is dropped before the message is completed, and/or the reception is poor, making the message difficult to understand.
The caller ID for automated district phone calls will be (877) 548-5634. We recommend saving this phone number as a contact so you will recognize calls from the district. Everything works as normal if you answer the call or have a voicemail. (Note: this only applies to automated messages and not “live calls” from a staff member).
If you need to retrieve the automated message for any reason, follow these steps:
Simply press redial or call 877-548-5634. You will hear a prompt that you have reached the SchoolMessenger notification system for Wissahickon.
To listen to the message, press 1 and the system will read back your telephone number.
Press 1 to verify or press 2 to enter a different telephone number.
The most recent automated phone message from the district will begin playing.
To repeat the message, press the star (*) key or press the pound (#) key to skip to another message. The last 30 messages from the district may be retrieved.
