A Note from the Office
Dear Parmenter Families,
Just a short message this week as we have many exciting opportunities below for our Parmenter community that I hope you take the time to scroll through.
I've posted a chart below which is used by all FPS elementary schools to determine if the weather is safe for outdoor recess or activities. Please know that all students are expected to go outside for recess when it is deemed safe and appropriate. Please, please, please, send your student(s) to school with appropriate gear for the New England weather. Please reach out to the office if your child is in need of ANY winter gear as we have plenty of donations from our generous community.
Be well,
Evan Chelman, Principal

Elementary School Handbook Reminder: Toys
I want to take a moment to remind our community of the current policy in our 24-25 Handbook regarding toys:
Toys:
"Toys should not be brought to school. The school provides items for students to play with during indoor and outdoor recess. Children need permission from the principal to bring athletic equipment to school.
Fidgets can improve focus and help students maintain attention during class. School sanctioned fidgets may be provided to students on an as needed basis."
It is important that students have the teachers' permission to bring in items from home. Thank you for your attention to this policy.
School Snack Reminder
Dear Families,
Just a friendly reminder to send your child to school with a snack each day. A quick, healthy snack helps keep their energy up and their focus sharp throughout the day.
That said, please know that we will always make sure no student goes without a snack. If you’re unable to provide one, we’ll ensure they have something to keep them fueled and ready to learn.
Thank you for your support!
Please read the above link with snow information. We have already struggled to show up with appropriate gear, ready for the elements. Please have a conversation with your student about throwing snow and recess expectations in the snow.
Thank you for your support
