The school year will start for students on Monday, August 17, 2020, at 9:00 am.
Fall Schedule
The fall schedule will follow a Block 3 + PE model which allows students to take three courses each quarter in a block format. Instead of taking seven courses a day for 45 minutes each, students will focus on three courses for the equivalent of 90 minutes a day in addition to their PE course. This allows students to complete a semester’s worth of work in three courses over a nine-week period. During the second quarter, students will take their other three courses while continuing the same physical education course. The block approach will be maintained for at least the first semester because of its flexibility. The plan works under a fully remote schedule and will also work when we bring back 25, 50, or 100 percent of our students.
*Please note that this schedule is subject to change. Our plan is flexible and that we will need to adapt as the situation surrounding COVID-19 evolves and we receive further guidance from the ISBE and IDPH
1. Graduation requirements and core classes
2. Spring elective requests, based on seat availability within student's House Team
3. Spring alternate elective requests, based on seat availability within student's House Team
In some cases, we were not able to accommodate all course requests/changes from the spring and summer. This means you may have a core class, elective, or study hall in your schedule that was not originally requested. In these cases, all schedules are final, and unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate schedule changes.
However, if you believe there is an error in your schedule (incorrect core class, missing graduation requirement, etc.), please contact your counselor.

Pandemic EBT Food Benefits Deadline Extended to Aug. 31
Thank you to all National School Lunch Program (NSLP) participating School Food Authorities for your assistance to date with the Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) program! We are asking for your help once again to reach out to families. The Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) has extended the deadline to Aug. 31 to apply for this one-time special benefit available for March to June 2020.
Families can apply for Pandemic EBT at https://abe.illinois.gov/abe/access/. We do ask for schools to be prepared to print P-EBT applications for families without internet access who request paper copies. Here are the links to the English application and the Spanish application.
DHS created a flyer to help families with the application process. A Spanish version is also available. We are asking NSLP sponsors to share this flyer with their families. You can print them and include with grab-n-go meals, include in email communications, and/or post on your websites. Here are the links:

Under the revised IHSA calendar, the following sports are currently scheduled to move forward in the fall and can proceed to start on August 10 as scheduled.

Due to concerns about the transmission of COVID-19, the IHSA also announced that the following traditional fall sports will be moved to Spring 2021:

Teams will play shortened regular-season schedules and state series will be determined on a case-by-case basis. A full listing of the changes to the schedule can be found here.
