7th Grade Q1 Celebration:
This month's Target Time focus is THANK YOU. Mrs. Sabelko shares more information in this week's letter, and you can follow TILL360 on YouTube.
PLEASE NOTE:
If your student played a fall sport, they still need to be registered for any additional sports they participate in.
6th graders only register for Fall Cross Country, Winter Wrestling and Spring Track.
It has been nice to see the students this week so well rested and ready to learn and I think the extra hour of sleep did all of the students well. We hope that you enjoy seeing pictures of all of the activities that the students and staff participated in last week.
I would like to celebrate this week:
Students listening to a review of the lunchroom expectations and trying their best to meet these expectations.
Students who are acting with courage to report bullying and harrassing as it is taking place in middle school.
The Fine Arts department who just held a great concert and have turned around to quickly get the students ready for our Veterans Day Program that will be held on Monday. Each class is assigned a color: 6th Grade Wear White, 7th Grade Wear Blue, 8th Grade Wear Red.
During this past week we have had many students in the sixth, seventh, and eighth grade reporting to us that students are making Tik Tok videos that are featuring videos and images of students without their permission and are very unkind to their classmates. This is dramatically impacting the mental health of the students who are being featured without their permissions and then are reading comments that others are saying. The posts are being made outside of school hours and from many different accounts. We are asking this week that you talk with your children about this as it is impacting our middle school in negative ways. It is good to check with students asking if they are being featured and if they are participating in this behavior. We are finding students usually have three to five different accounts that are being used and at this time simply reporting this to Tik Tok isn’t working to make them go away. This can have very devastating consequences for all involved and with your partnership we can help the students use the technology in positive ways and not in ways that hurt others. We will also begin to feature lessons and have discussions about this with the students during Target Time.
We have another busy quarter coming up with many great real-world experiences planned for the students. To help you as you make plans here is a list of upcoming activities for our middle school students:

Mrs. Sarah Sabelko
