Proud of Their Poetry!
Ms. Lady Lyn's English I students spent time recently studying figurative language and poetry. Students then got the opportunity to create poems of their own. Pictured below are some poems selected by their teacher to share with the world!
Engines Ready?
Students in Physical Science class tested out their home-made cars this week as they learned more about motion, acceleration and forces.
Cars could be made out of just about anything, but used a straw and balloon system to help them travel. Pictured are Jaylee, Harley, and Brooklyn putting the final touches on their vehicles before racing.
GET TO KNOW YOUR TEACHER: Charmaine Marasigan
Subjects Taught: Mathematics (Algebra I & Geometry Core)
Years Taught: 11
What is one of your favorite things about teaching?
The things that I learned and can still learn from the kids. Like how this generation of students is changing and as an educator I need to adjust and adapt to these changes. It's actually satisfying to know that as a teacher, we do have a chance to at least change their lives and give them hope about their future
What is your favorite dish from the cafeteria? I haven't tried everything, but I love the chicken nuggets
How do you spend your summer breaks? Go out of town in my home country (Philippines) and visit different beaches and have fun and bond with my friends and family.
What is something interesting about yourself? That I can dance and sing (but not very well) and I can surf!
