Wednesday: Odd Block Day - Bus Evacuation Drill during 1st block; Key Club meeting in LC during Panther; Herff Jones will be on campus in the main lobby from 3:30-5:30 to take letterman jacket orders. All order information can be found in the main office! If you missed the meeting, stop by and pick up order information before Wednesday.

Thursday Sept.12, the Southside High Science Club will be hosting the first Teen Science Cafe in the library. Our guest speaker will be Southside Alumni Zach Morgan. He is currently working as a Bio-Engineer at Auburn University and will be telling us all about what the life of a Bio -Engineer is like. We will open doors at 5pm and Mr. Morgan will be introduced at 5:30 pm. Everyone is welcome, but in order to know how much food that we will need, students should join the Science Club Remind by clicking on this Join the Science Club Link . Our Teen Science Cafe meeting are sponsored by Legacy Partners in Environmental Education.

All students that are tardy, checking-in to school or checking out of school MUST GO THROUGH THE FRONT OFFICE. We have a new finger scan system in place (very similar to the lunchroom finger scan system) where each student will scan in or out with check-in/check-outs and tardies.

A parent, guardian, or someone on your check-out list MUST sign you out of school to checkout. This is the same as always. The student must then go through the office to scan out before leaving. This procedure must be followed.

We do not accept over the phone checkouts. Please do not call the school for a checkout. Someone on the students checkout list must come and sign the student out of school.

Please remember how important attendance at school is! Please don't checkout of school unless absolutely necessary. If you are absent, please turn excuses in to front office.

Students: Before Friday, make sure you tell at least one teacher how they made you feel special this week!

Please remember to follow our dress code policy! Remember - Cell phones are not allowed to be out or used in any classroom! Only clear or mesh backpacks allowed in classrooms. Fast food and outside drinks are not allowed in the building! Please throw this away before entering the building.

Students are not allowed to exit the building to go to your car, even if you forgot something you really need! If you need something, you have to go through the office and an admin or SRO will escort you to your vehicle. Disciplinary consequence will apply if you do not follow these procedures!
