STARS FOOTBALL EXTRA POINTS
BATAVIA WRAP / HOMECOMING PREP
TRUE NORTH
Twelve years ago, our 2013 class developed the True North mentality. Each point on the 5-pointed star is recognized to represent one belief that our program will be built on. Each point on the star is equal to the one before it. The values of Leadership, Investment, Selflessness, Accountability, and Preparation make up our North Star. In the center of the completed stars lies the T.E.A.M. For the past eleven seasons and every moment in between, we have remained consistent in our steadfast belief in these five values. They are our "True North". These beliefs will be our compass in all we do as a program on and off the field. Much like the Northstar in maritime days, we will use our "True North" as the compass we will follow in the journey to the elite. I am proud of these words and what they mean. I have seen them transform lives, including my own. I hope you can share in our "True North" philosophy and discuss these values with your son or daughter as much as possible.

WEEK 4 RECAP
Northstar Football Family,
L-losing
O-opporutunity
S- Stay
S- Strong
That is how we are looking at this past week. For 43 minutes we played state caliber football. Unfortunately, we found the banana peel too often and were not able to finish. Our Stars have reflected, refocused and recommitted to our process. They are a resilient bunch and the name of the game this week is RESPOND. We are not are situations but we are our responses. Our kids are going to show the world that when adversity hits we are at our best. I cannot wait to run on the field with these 70 young men. They are an amazing group and we will be taking a bit of every alumni who has worn the blue , black and silver ! Hope to see you there as we take on a new found rival in Wheaton Warrenville South. Emotions will be high but we will be ready!

WEEK 4 PLAYERS OF THE GAME
HOMECOMING SCHEDULES
Meet the opponent: Wheaton North
Opponent:WHEATON WARRENVILLE SOUTH TIGERS
Snap Shot: 2-2
Last Week Beat Glenbard North
Losses vs Lyons Township & Geneva
Offense: Zone scheme run game with an explosive passing attack. Perimeter threats who can take it to the house vertically and solid core of TE and WR's .QB Carbonora is 3 year starter who is coming into his own. Can make all the throws and uses his feet well to extend plays. The Stars have to contain the scramble , stay disciplined in the back 5 and provide pressure up front.
Defense: 4-2-5 but multiple in different down and distances. The Tigers do everything technically well. Not a huge group of defenders but well coached and physical at the point. The Stars have to establish and stick to a consistent run game while letting their perimeter athletes separate the scoreboard with their big play ability.
