Mountaineer Monthly
June 2024
Dear BES Families,
After 10 years as the principal of BES, I have made the decision to retire. I will continue to stay on with the district in a new role until my actual retirement date of November 22, 2024. As of July 1st, Mrs. Cataldo, our Assistant Principal will become the new principal. Mrs. Cataldo has been with the district for two years and I am confident that she will do an excellent job in her new role. We will continue to work together over the summer to prepare for the 24-25 school year.
I'd like to take a moment to express my gratitude to the Berlin community. When I left my teaching position after 18 years in the same district, I never thought I would find a new home. Well, I found it in Berlin. I will always cherish the opportunity that I was given to lead this amazing group of students, teachers, and families. Thank you always for supporting your children and the school community.
Have a wonderful summer.
Sincerely,
Tracy Kent
Our picnic will take place rain or shine. We will move indoors if needed.
Congratulations on your Retirement!
Congratulations to reading specialist Michele Doyle and special education teacher Vivian Healy on their upcoming retirements. You will be greatly missed at Berlin Elementary. We wish you much happiness on your next adventure.
