Love What You Do on a Monday Morning
Change and Transition
Thank goodness it is Monday and we, as adult learners have a chance to make, live and see change happen everyday. In how we lead, how we learn or what we do in the halls, classrooms, faculty lounge in our communications. Change happens, you determine how to transition.

Reimagining (or transitioning) Learning Spaces
As we come to the end of the year, many are working to match the learning "physical" space to the instructional practices and learner experiences and looking to furniture. Before we leap to furniture, it is important to consider, what instructional changes do we want to see in the classrooms during specifics parts of the day. During reading, do we want to see partnerships and independent reading? During math, do we want to see collaborative problem solving, increased discourse, and recordings of process and solution? Do we want the same for science? Social studies? Do we want versatile spaces that support any content and type of learner experience?
To assist in our learning, research and decision making, below is a quick playlist of resources. Please take the time to review as you prepare for the next school year.

Teaching in the Block - Transitioning to Integrated Instruction
As we look forward to the "space" we provide during our school day with regard to time, it is not simply to shift time or create blocks of time. The instructional shifts required to make the most of the block are critical and deserve time for research, analysis and development. To start us on our journey, review the article and discussion below. We will begin curating materials to develop the district commitments for teaching in the block.

It is important to return to the book of the year for key insights to transformation. Grab this from your bookshelf, dust it off. We will begin the year by revisiting this work with Eric Sheninger.
