Week of February 24th

Principal Welcome!
Black History Month and Spirit Week
Dear Global Impact Academy Families,
As we celebrate Black History Month, we take this time to honor the rich heritage, resilience, and contributions of Black leaders, innovators, and trailblazers who have shaped our world. This month is a reminder of the strength, perseverance, and excellence that continue to inspire generations. At Global Impact Academy, we are committed to fostering an environment of inclusivity, respect, and learning as we recognize the impact of Black history on our shared future.
We encourage our students, families, and staff to reflect on the lessons of the past while embracing the opportunities to create a more just and equitable future. Through education, dialogue, and celebration, we uplift the voices and stories that have paved the way for progress. Let us take this time to celebrate Black excellence and continue striving toward a brighter tomorrow for all.
We here at Global Impact Academy are excited to celebrate next week with our Black History Month Celebration on Thursday, February 27th during Advisement as well as our Spirit Week beginning on Monday, February 24th through Friday, February 28th
With gratitude,
Johnathan Hall

Lastly, we'd like to recognize our STAR Student and STAR Teacher for the 2024-2025 School Year. Another congratulations to Makayla Youmans on being named the STAR Student and a huge congratulations to Ms. Hill-Jones on being selected as the STAR Teacher! The STAR program honors high achieving seniors and the teacher most instrumental to their success. To be nominated as a STAR, Georgia high school students meet several criteria, including having the highest SAT score at their schools on any single test date through November of their senior year and being in the top 10 percent or top 10 students of their class based on grade point average.
