November Character Trait of the month is Peace
The Character Trait that CCA students and staff are focusing on in November is Peace. We asked Colten, Brynn and Matthew what they thought peace meant, and here’s what they said. Colten said, “Peace is a calmness you have which gives you patience. It helps you help others and keeps you from starting drama.” Brynn said, “Peace means to be calm, cool, and collected.” Matthew said, “Peace means to be content with whatever you have been dealt.”
The word “peace” is introduced to us in the Old Testament as shalom and means completeness, soundness and well-being. It is harmony between humanity and all of God’s good creation. God commands us to seek peace (Psalm 34:14; Matthew 5:9). –Sophia

GPACS Student Leadership Conference
On Friday, November 1st, 9th-12th grade students traveled to Olathe, KS to participate in a Student Leadership Conference (GPACS) at Mid-America Nazarene University. The keynote speaker was Dr. Sean McDowell. Dr. McDowell lives in California and is a very well known apologist around the country. He has also written several books that he brought to the conference. He spoke about three different topics during the day. The first, Atheist Encounter, second, The Worldview Behind Transgenderism, and the third, Understanding Worldview Through Film. During his first session, he put on his “atheist glasses” and had students ask him different questions and he responded in a way an atheist would. Once several students asked him questions, he then debriefed his answers according to the Bible. During his second session, He talked about how to deal with transgenders and how our worldview brings up questions. The first question is about origin - “How did we get here?” The second is about Predicament - “ Why is everything so messed up?” The third question is about the solution - “ How can we fix it?” He talked about their beliefs and how they want the same thing we want, including happiness. He then talked about how transgenderism is ideological. During his last session, he talked about how there are different worldviews and how they determine what we believe and how we act. He went through several different films and talked about the theme, hero or heroine, and the villain. He then talked about the different ratings of movies and how even some of the Biblical movies are rated R for violence, but it helps us learn and understand more and how some movies that are not biblical are also rated R, but they will not help you in life but more so hurt you. In between the 3 different sessions, there were some minute to win it games. Colten and Hannah did a ping pong ball toss challenge and Katie and Dakoda played a pencil toss challenge. --Carissa

Peace Devotion
Parents, Grandparents, and Staff, we thought you might enjoy this devotion from “Proverbs 31 Ministries” called: “When Peace Feels Impossible,” which is based on Bible verse: Isaiah 26:3 (ESV), “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”

Class Spotlight: HS Art
On Tuesday, Allie sat in on the High School art class. Students were working on cross stitching boxes. The entire art class worked on stitching different sized squares, with two different colors of yarn by weaving a needle through little plastic squares. Most of the class didn't finish their boxes; however, Lilly did! She’s a fast cross stitcher. By the end of the class some were closer to completing their squares, while it seemed others were just starting. – Allie
Survey Says:
This week’s survey question was would you rather watch college football, or watch the NFL. I asked four classes, 3rd grade, 4th grade, 8th grade, and the personal finance class. Fourteen of the forty-six people said they would rather watch college football. Then thirty-two people of the forty-six said they would rather watch the NFL. Fun fact, the Arizona Cardinals are the oldest NFL team, dating back to 1898. And the Green Bay Packers are the oldest team to keep their original name. –Miyah

Senior Fundraising
Our 2025 CCA Seniors are raising money for their senior trip which is partly a mission trip and partly a fun trip. They will be going to southeast Georgia to work in a food pantry, and Christian camp for foster children.
- This year, our seniors also have an opportunity to go on CCA's very first out of country mission trip to Belize. Money raised will first go towards the Senior trip to Georgia/Florida but we have hope that if enough money is raised it will cover some of the cost to their Belize trip.
- CCA Seniors also sell homemade cookies every Thursday morning! Students love this! Just $1
- The Class of 2025 is raising money for their senior trip. They would like to have a BIG YARD SALE! This will be at the Clinton First Baptist Church DOWNTOWN LOCATION 209 E. Jefferson Street. Friday, November 15th from 2-7pm and Saturday November 16th from 8am-5pm.
We would love to have your help. Do you have yard sale items you would like to get rid of? Just drop them off at the FBC of Clinton Downtown Location Thursday (11/14) afternoon 3-7pm or Friday (11/15) 2-7pm or Saturday (11/16) morning.
