Phalen Flyer
PLA@George H. Fisher School 93
Greetings PLA Families,
Thank you to all of our families that came to school yesterday evening for our Open House. We always enjoy seeing our families in the building and hope you were able to learn more about your child's classroom.
Picture Day-School pictures will take place on Monday, September 9th. Information has been provided in the flyer if you are interested in ordering pictures of your child. Use the code below to view options and pre-order online. Scholars purchasing pictures are permitted to be out of uniform on that day.
All scholars will begin taking NWEA next week. This assessment provides us with a baseline of your child's academic progress. All scholars will take NWEA in January and again in May. The following assessments will provide data on their academic growth throughout the year. If you have any questions about NWEA or our assessment process, please reach out to us.
Our September family event will take place on Thursday, September 19th from 4:30-6:00. More information can be found below.
Reminder: We began enforcing our school uniform policy on Tuesday, September 3rd. Scholars not in a uniform, that is in accordance to our school policy, will be out of compliance. You can expect to hear from your child's teacher, dean, or administrator as part of our effort to ensure 100% of our scholars are in their uniform.
IPS will be distributing the Panorama Survey between 10/28/24 and 11/22/24 to scholars in grades
3-6. Parents have the option to opt-out of this survey. IPS will be sending notifications to all of our families about this option on September 5th and again on September 26th. If you do not opt-out, your child will take this survey at some time during the window. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.
