Parish Fiesta Volunteers
Dear Families,
This year, we will celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary on October 4th, 5th and 6th. All parish groups are volunteering their time to help this Fiesta be a success. Please be aware that each school family must work four (4) hours. At this time, please select the time slot that best suits your schedule. The proceeds of the Fiesta will be going toward the renovations of the church.
In the event that you are not able to honor the time slot, you will be charged a $200 no-show fee on your October Facts fees.
Please review the available slots below and click the button to sign up. Thank you!
Queridas Familias,

Policies & Procedures
Arrival/Dismissal Drive Thru
We will continue to follow these drop-off and pick-up procedures.
We've created arrival protocols that will allow us to meet and greet students. Parents will remain in their cars and must wear a mask.
1. The use of the car line will enable the parents to drive through and drop off/pick up their children at a location where they can be watched as they walk to their classrooms. Drop-offs/pickups are divided into zones to minimize contact. Zone 1: TK-4th Zone 2: 5th -6th
2. Students walk to the classroom and line up apart from each other. Each classroom teacher will take their students' temperature, ask screening questions, provide sanitizer, and then students that are clear will go directly into their classroom.
If a child has a temperature, the teachers will radio the school office, and the child will go directly to the isolation room (Holy Spirit Room).
Zone 1: TK-4th
- The student must sit on the right side passenger seat for easy access
- First, drop-off/pick-up of the youngest child on Zone 1 then proceed to Zone 2
Zone 2: 5th -8th
- The student must sit on the left side passenger seat for easy access.
- Students being dropped-off/pick-up on Zone will not be allowed to walk to Zone 1

Uniform Dress Code
Our Lady of the Rosary School chooses uniforms for their students because:
- Encourages distinctions of character and personality instead of appearance
- Places emphasis on learning, not clothing
- Reduces peer pressure and social stigmas
- Equalizes economic diversity
- Allows for cohesive presentation as a group
- A simple dress code and uniform allow teachers to enforce the code equally
- Lowers long-term clothing costs
- Facilitates security by identifying outsiders
- Enhances school spirit
- Simplifies dressing and dress code
Our Lady of the Rosary School dress code is intended to instill modesty, good grooming habits, and neatness in appearance. It is to maintain a proper academic environment within the school and reduce superficial competitiveness so that character rather than appearance can be the focus.
Students are expected to come to school appropriately dressed at all times, with clean and in-order clothing.
The parent is responsible for ensuring the child can be and is in uniform each day.
- There should be no holes in, or stains on, the uniform
- Students wear clothing in proportion to their body size
- Tattoos, both temporary and permanent, are not allowed
- Fingernails are clean and trimmed.
In order to facilitate lost-and-found items so they may be returned to their rightful owner, names should be written on all clothing.

Unexcused Absences Policy
Absences are considered excused when a doctor’s note is provided. When no doctor’s note is presented, the absence is considered unexcused. Students will be accountable for all classwork, homework, and notes taken in class when they are not present. If, by chance, a quiz, exam, or project is scheduled, the student must complete the task within 24-48 hours of being back. Not being in school is not an excuse for not taking a planned test.
Please plan vacation days accordingly so students do not miss crucial learning. The school cannot be held accountable for grades that reflect a student who misses school consistently.
Attendance: Under Archdiocesan policy, a student absent fifteen (15) or more days in a quarter will not be issued a report card and must attend summer school. If a child is absent more than thirty (30) or more days during the school year, he or she will be retained in the same grade because you still need to meet the requirements for your grade. The County Board of Education requires principals to report the severance of attendance by any student.
Mass Attendance Card for Tk-8
To encourage school families, the staff, and parish families to celebrate Sunday Mass as a community, the school will send a Sunday Mass Attendance Card to all our students.
Our school community believes "We are one body, one body in Christ."
Our Lady of the Rosary School believes we are one in Christ because Jesus died for us on the cross for our salvation. Scripture Romans 12:4-5. For as in one body, we have many parts, and all the parts do not have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ and individually parts of one another. We are all part of Jesus Christ's body as a school community. Therefore, we must gather as one body, worship him, and receive His Body on Sundays.
Cell Phone Policy
CELL PHONE /ELECTRONIC USE: Our Lady of the Rosary School recognizes the importance of communication and collaboration and provides iPads for students to be productive in the classroom. To keep the focus on academics and to reduce unnecessary distractions, the school enforces the following:

Cell phones, smartwatches, and all mobile devices are not allowed to be used during transition times or between classes.
School staff may confiscate cell phones and smart watches at any time even if not being used.
School staff may collect all students’ cell phones and lock them at any time.
If a student needs to make an emergency call during the day, they must come to the office.
The following are the consequences:
First offense...Any phone/device in view and on-site will be confiscated, logged, and securely held in the school's office until the end of the school day and may be picked up by the student.
Second offense...Any phone/device will be taken to the front office, logged, and must be picked up by a parent/guardian.
Third offense...Any phone/device will be taken to the front office and logged, and a meeting will be set up. This may result in the device being left in the front office daily or kept for a month.
