CES Families please let's stay SAFE!
Dear CES Families,
Ensuring the safety of our students is our top priority at Cedarmere Elementary School. We kindly request that you take a moment to emphasize the importance of using the designated crosswalk when arriving at school each morning.
Walking your child to the crosswalk or allowing them to independently cross at the designated area is a crucial step in teaching them the correct way to navigate the street safely. We understand that mornings can be hectic for everyone, but a small investment in safety can have a lasting impact.
Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated, and together, we can create a safer environment for all our students.
Thank you for your understanding and commitment to the well-being of our school community.

Please call the office at 443-809-1100 to schedule an appointment to register.
For Pre K - the child must be 4 by September 1, 2024 (9/2/19-9/1/20)
For Kindergarten - the child must be 5 by September 1, 2024 (9/2/18-9/1/19)
We're ALL IN for this! BCPS proudly introduces the slogan, "Here For It," inspiring our students to show up for school every day! Did you know there's a Maryland State Attendance requirement? It's crucial for your child to maintain an attendance rate of at least 94% throughout the school year. We understand the challenges of flu season and the ongoing presence of COVID, and if your child isn't feeling well, we encourage you to prioritize their health.
However, it's proven that students with high attendance percentages tend to be more successful. So, if your child can attend, please ensure their presence.
In case your child needs to be absent, kindly provide a note—whether handwritten or through email. Submitting written documentation helps us keep accurate records. Remember, not all absences are considered lawful. Let's make every school day count!

LOST AND FOUND IS OVERFLOWING!!!
Dear CES Parents,
We hope this message finds you well. We've noticed a growing number of lost items accumulating in our lost and found area, and we need your assistance in retrieving them.
Please take a moment to check the lost and found either during dismissal or encourage your child to do so during the school day. The current overflow of items has become challenging for us to manage, and in an effort to declutter, we plan to donate unclaimed items.
To avoid any loss, we kindly ask you to visit the lost and found area before March 22, which is prior to our upcoming spring break. After this date, any remaining unclaimed items will be donated.
Your cooperation is greatly appreciated in helping us maintain a tidy and organized school environment.
Thank you, families!
Best regards,
Please remember to have your child check the lost and found.
