Dear Families,
Can you believe that we are already into October? I love watching the leaves change color, the temperatures cool a bit, and students create a strong community with their teachers and peers at school.
As I continue getting familiar with life here at The Hollys, Iโve really enjoyed connecting with our wonderful students and community. Being new myself, Iโve found common ground with many of our students who are also adjusting to new routines. Itโs been rewarding to bond over that shared experience and watch them grow and achieve great things each day.
I also want to remind families how important it is for students to be present at school every day. Absences can add up and affect learning, so we encourage everyone to plan vacations and time off around the breaks provided by the district calendar whenever possible. Your child's consistent attendance is key to their continued growth and success.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
A friendly reminder that Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming up the week of November 4th. This is a great opportunity to hear about your childโs progress, discuss next steps, and share any thoughts you have with their teacher. Weโre all in this together, working as a team to support your childโs success!
Your childโs teacher will be reaching out soon to schedule your conference time. If you need an interpreter for the meeting, just let the teacher know, and weโll make sure one is available.
Important Dates to Remember ๐ก
Fall Break: There will be no school from October 14-18th. We hope you enjoy a fun and relaxing break with your family!
November 1st: There will be no school for students on Friday, November 1st, due to a professional development day for staff. Also, for those celebrating, Happy Diwali!
