On Friday March 22, the Varsity Silver Stars traveled to Galveston, TX to compete in the Crowd Pleasers Texas Dance Nationals Competition. The Stars came home with the following awards:

- National Champions 1st place for HS Classic Medium Officer line in Contemporary

- National Champions 1st place for HS Classic Medium Officer line in Lyrical

- National Champions 1st place for HS Classic Medium Officer line in Novelty National Champions

-1st place overall for HS Classic Medium Officer line National Champions

-3rd Runner Up overall for High School Classic Medium sized teams

-3rd Runner Up for HS Classic Medium Team in Jazz

-2nd Runner Up for HS Classic Medium Team in Kick

-2nd Runner Up for HS Classic Medium Team in Pom

- National Champions 1st place for HS Classic Medium Team in Hip Hop

*Tryouts for the Varsity Silver Stars and JV Shining Stars will be held April 2-5.

*All days are mandatory for everyone who is trying out.

*Packets are available for pick up until Monday April 1.

*The final parent meeting will take place April 1 at 6:30p via zoom. Check Schoology or your student email for the zoom info.

Congratulations to Ashlynn Famule for becoming Shoemaker's first ever State Champion female powerlifter! Not only did Ashlynn win the 181 lbs Unequipped Division by 170 lbs with an 885 lbs total (410 lbs PR in The Deadlift), but she earned best deadlift for heavy platforms, and best lifter overall for heavy weights. Congrats Ashlynn! We are proud of you!

For the first time in Shoemaker history, the Grey Wolf Soccer team secured the bi-district title and a spot in the 5A Area Round!

Scholarships available to help adult learners earn a certification in various Healthcare fields.

Due to an urgent need for multi-disciplined healthcare providers and skilled tradesmen in the area, the Temple College Adult Education and Literacy program is providing a limited number of scholarships for training and certification in these newly developed programs. Select individuals can receive tuition-free training and certification in Comprehensive Patient Care Technician (PCT/EKG/Phlebotomy), Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), Solar Energy technician, and Residential Wireman.
