Average Daily Attendance Goal is 94%. Attendance is the number one predictor of scholar achievement and social-emotional learning. Every scholar! Everyday! Contact Mr. Brewer at attendance@centennialacademycharter.org to record absences excused and/or unexcused. Also, you may reach out to Mr. Brewer or visit the Attendance Works website for more resources and assistance with your child's attendance.
Attendance Palooza
We’re excited to kick off our annual Fall Palooza from October 28 to November 1! As we focus on boosting attendance, we look forward to seeing every scholar every day. Your participation is crucial in helping us meet and exceed our attendance goals. Each week, the targets get higher, along with the rewards! Don’t miss out on this fantastic event—let’s make memorable weeks together!

- 10/29 Pink Out Centennial for Breast Cancer Awareness! Scholars may wear pink and school appropriate jeans (NO RIPS or HOLES)
- 10/30 LEADERSHIP DAY (Formal Dress for all scholars)

- 10/31 Book Character Day
- We are celebrating Book Character Day on October 31st! All scholars are invited to come dressed as their favorite characters from books.
- 10/31 Fall Festival 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Collecting items through the end of this week.
- We need your help! Candy donations (bring bags of candy to your homeroom teacher, WE ARE A NUT-FREE SCHOOL)
- 11/1 First Friday! Scholars may wear school appropriate jeans and a college shirt.
- 11/5 Centennial Votes! Asynchronous Learning/Professional Learning Day
- Scholars will complete coursework in Google Classroom
The Academies
K-8 Book Character Day - October 31
We are excited to announce that we will be celebrating Book Character Day on October 31st! All scholars are invited to come dressed as their favorite characters from books. This is a fun and creative way to inspire a love for reading and bring their favorite stories to life. Please note the following important guidelines for costumes:
- Costumes should represent book characters.
- No masks or costumes that cover the face are allowed.
- Costumes should not include anything overly scary or inappropriate.
- We encourage scholars to express their creativity while keeping costumes school-appropriate and respectful to others.

This October, we would love to engage our CA families in the celebration of our Principals. We are excited to shine on our dynamic Principals, Ms. Hodges and Mr. Thorbes. Scholars and their families are able to send a card or a token of appreciation to their principal on October 28 & 29.
Scholastic Book Fair
Fall Book Fair November 4-8, 2024!!
We’re excited to invite you to our Scholastic Book Fair! This event is an opportunity for students of all ages to build their home libraries and further their love of reading. As always, all purchases benefit our school library. The Book Fair will be November 4-8, 2024.
Our Scholastic Book Fair offers a cash-free payment option called eWallet. https://www.scholastic.com/bf/centennialplaceacademy1. It’s a convenient digital account that your child can use for shopping at our Fair, and lets you set a budget for your scholars. Grandparents, friends, and others can contribute, too!
Families are also encouraged to shop online at our school’s Virtual Book Fair https://www.scholastic.com/bf/centennialplaceacademy1 beginning October 24, 2024. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Your online orders will also benefit our school. Ten Years of Impact
This school years marks a decade of existence for our charter. We are so proud of the impact that Centennial Academy has made throughout the years. We would like to include our community in celebrating these ten years.
We also embrace our rich roots as Centennial Place Elementary and welcome all alumni (1996-present) scholars, staff, and community stakeholders to join us in our celebration and the creation of the Centennial Academy Alumni Association.
