"Everyone who breathes... has a mission, has a work. We are not sent into this world for nothing; we are not born at random... God sees every one of us; He creates every soul... for a purpose."
- St. John Neumann
School News
Dear Saint Ambrose Parents,
Today your child(ren) are bringing home 2nd Trimester report cards. We are grateful to partner with you in this important work!
We had a beautiful Mass on Wednesday, celebrating the Feast of St. Joseph. Father Sean talked about St. Joseph being a good listener, a hard worker, and a protector of the vulnerable. He encouraged us to pray for St. Joseph's intercession to live like in this seemingly simple and honorable way.
Next week, we will open registration for our upcoming Trivia Night. Additionally, students will receive raffle tickets to sell for our tuition raffle. The week before the event, we will also have an on-line auction with fun items like Principal for the Day and classroom celebrations for bidding. We are grateful for your support, and excited to have fun together on May 2.
A few notes:
- Bring $1 and enjoy a non-uniform day on March 28th to support Clean Drinking Water in Sudan! Millions of people around the world lack access to clean drinking water, and in Sudan, many—especially children—walk for miles each day just to find it. Inspired by their reading of A Long Walk to Water, our 4th graders felt called to take action and asked if we could raise funds for them with an out-of-uniform day. Join us in making a difference!
- Summer School Registration is open - some classes only have a few spots remaining! Register soon for first choice of classes.
The Saint Ambrose Spirit Wear shop is now open! 🎉 Show your school pride by checking out the latest items available. The shop is open until April 7th, so be sure to order before it closes! Click the link below to start shopping: https://saintambrose2025april.itemorder.com/shop/sale/
It Is Rollerskating Time!
All students will be roller skating during their PE time From March 31st to April 17th. All skaters will be required to wear a helmet and wrist guards, we will provide these. If your child prefers to wear their own helmet they may bring one from home. Please make sure they have their name on it. Helmets will need to be left in the classroom or brought home each evening.
We still need volunteers - Sign up here - https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70A044AA8AD2DA5F58-55137588-roller#/
God of Love,
through this Lenten journey,
purify my desires to serve you.
Free me from any temptations to judge others,
to place myself above others.
Please let me surrender even my impatience
with others,
that with your love and your grace,
I might be less and less absorbed with myself,
and more and more full of the desire
to follow you, in laying down my life
according to your example.

Spring Fundraiser
Saint Ambrose has a tradition of a spring fundraiser and gathering both to raise money to support families who need financial help for tuition, and for special projects. In the past, those have been items like technology, and specific teacher wish list items. The history of this spring event includes formal sit down, dinners, and live auctions, dancing to a great cover band, and a festive gathering of school parents. With the understanding that events like these take a lot of planning and volunteer efforts, and with extreme gratitude toward those who have labored for these events, we have decided to try something new this year.
The parish trivia event in January is an extremely successful event for community gathering, positive energy, and connection with others. Our school hopes to match the conviviality of this event with an added objective of fundraising for our school. Thus, we are excited to announce the Saint Ambrose Catholic school trivia event on Friday, May 2. Our plan is to include our tuition raffle, online auction items, and a great night of fun trivia for those who are interested in attending. We’re also excited to debut our first golf tournament. This will take place on Monday, May 19. More details will follow for both of these events. We would love for you to join us!
Building community among our parent population is an essential goal of our school and parish community. It is our hope that when we find “our people “we grow both in connection and openness to encounter Christ in others. We hope these two events give us an opportunity to connect you with each other as well as raise funds to support our mission.
2025-2026 Calendar
Next year, the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA) will host their annual convention in Minneapolis. Archbishop Hebda strongly encourages all school staff in our Archdiocese to attend this great opportunity for professional development and formation. This means our calendar for the 2025-2026 school year includes an extra few days off in April of 2026. I hope knowing this early will help families plan for those days. We hope to offer a T, W, Th Extended Day experience for families who need childcare-details will be communicated in August.

Students Living the Virtues
Our school continues its focus on hospitality, and during March a particular theme will be responsibility. Hospitality includes considering others' needs when caring for them as guests or companions. Responsibility means being dependable, making good choices, and taking accountability for your actions. A responsible citizen looks out for the well-being of others and understands we all have a part to play in making the world a better place.
One way students and teachers are emphasizing responsibility this month is through safety. Students can be safe in their interactions with others and in their actions by avoiding choices that can lead to harming themselves or others, thus leading to a hospitable environment. Growth in hospitality through responsibility and safety are traits that can be practiced at home and school.
It is a blessing that we have this opportunity for parents, students, and staff to work in cooperation to build hospitality at St. Ambrose and in the world.
A few ways we can practice responsibility and safety:
Focus on self-improvement
Doing a little better each day
Be more Christ-like
Be aware of our surroundings
Think before we act
Follow directions
Keep our word
Consideration for others

Mission and Philosophy
Mission (what we offer)
We at Saint Ambrose School are part of a vibrant Catholic community supporting and nurturing
each child on their journey with Christ.
Through exceptional academics, embracing each child’s unique strengths and needs, and
joyfully engaging in prayer and service, we take a holistic, virtue-based approach to student
education and experiences. This is the Saint Ambrose Way.
Vision (what we aspire to)
As a thriving Catholic school, we create meaningful impact though each family we support and
student we send into the world.
By helping form the whole child, students are not only prepared well for the next level of
education, but life as Christian adults living the Saint Ambrose Way.
PHILOSOPHY
The Saint Ambrose community recognizes the partnership between parents, students, staff,
administration and parishioners in providing for the development of its members as people of
faith who worship, learn and grow together. As a community we have a responsibility to
support families- as the primary educators of their children- while providing enriching
experiences that promote a sense of belonging and responsibility to a community.
