The Westgate Wire

• Note, we do not have school on Wednesday. Wishing a good year to those who will be observing Yom Kippur.
  
• Students will utilize their iPads and Chromebooks throughout the day. Please be sure your child has a working pair of headphones.
• Parent/Teacher Conference sign-ups went out to parents on Tuesday. October 20th and 21st have been set aside for teachers to meet with parents. We ask that parents use these dates for their conferences. Teachers can arrange for a Zoom or phone call conference at the parent's request.
• We will celebrate Halloween on the afternoon of Monday, October 31st. We will have an all school parade outside (weather permitting). Morning kindergarteners will have a separate parade in the morning. More details will shared in the coming weeks.

RULER Parent Presentation

• When: November 16th from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
• Where: Westgate LMC

We are looking forward to hearing how we can support one another in creating a positive and emotionally safe school climate in which everyone may flourish!

International Walk & Roll to School Day is Tuesday, October 4th! Please join Westgate staff and students on one of our 6 “Walking School Bus” routes.

The following locations have been selected in the Westgate community as meeting points where students can gather to walk together with Westgate teachers and volunteers. The locations and departure times are:

• Route #1 – Highland & Fairview (departure 8:30am)

• Route #2 – Ridge & Sigwalt (departure 8:35am)

• Route #3 – Dwyer & Heather (departure 8:40am) - includes bus students

• Route #4 – Grove & Reuter (departure 8:45am)

• Route #5 - Pioneer CAP (departure 8:40am)

• A sixth PM Kindergarten route (Route #6) will depart from Grove & Kennicott at 12:40pm.

This event will not be held in case of inclement weather.
