Updates and reminders from AMSA

A message from Mr. Hagerty, Principal AMSA
This is Mr. Hagerty, your AMSA Principal with a couple reminders for our Anoka Middle School families.
First, parent teacher conferences begin this week on October 10 and then again October 15 at both our Washington and Fred Moore campuses from 3:30 to 7:40 pm. Families will be using a website called reach-my-teach to schedule either a virtual or an in-person conference with your child’s teacher. This is a different application than the My-Conference-Time tool that we had been using. We actually sent an email and text message last Friday morning using the new reach-my-teach tool with information on how to schedule time.
Make note that there has been an Anoka high school football game change to Thursday night October 10, so I would suggest a virtual conference for any time after 6 pm on that evening to avoid traffic and parking frustrations. Use the following link sent Friday morning to schedule your conference time: Schedule your conference time here
Email Andrew.Berg@ahschools.us for questions or help.
Next, a reminder that our doors to our school do not open until 8 a.m. There is no supervision or adults outside the school prior to that time. If you drop off your child at school and because the weather will begin turning colder, please plan accordingly so that your child is not standing outside in the elements.
Next, picture retake day is October 11. This day is for any student who was absent on the initial school picture day or for students who have purchased pictures and were not satisfied with the photograph. This is not an opportunity to get a new ID or a different picture on their student profile account. We will dismiss students seeking a retake throughout the day to the auditorium where life touch photographers will be set up.
Finally, a reminder that cell phones must be powered down and stored during the instructional day. If there is an emergency, don’t hesitate to call our main line at 763-506-5000 or if your child needs to contact you, we have over 50 landline phones for them to use in the building.
Thank you…have an amazing day.
