Message from the Principal

Dear Kimball Hill Parents,

As a reminder, Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place on Monday, November 25th, and Tuesday, November 26th.

If you haven’t already, please reach out to your child’s teacher to schedule an appointment. If an in-person meeting isn’t possible, a virtual conference via Google Meet can be arranged by the teacher.

When you arrive for your scheduled appointment, please go directly to your child’s classroom. You can give a gentle knock at your scheduled time. To ensure that teachers can meet with all families, we kindly request that you please arrive on time for your appointment. Appointments are scheduled in 20-minute increments, and teachers will need to strictly adhere to this timeframe. We look forward to the opportunity to discuss your child's progress.

eLearning Practice Day

Our school is holding a practice eLearning day within the classroom on Tuesday, November 19th. This will help students get familiar with using online learning tools in case we have a district-wide virtual day in the future.

Here's how you can prepare your child:

Home Wi-Fi Connection: Please make sure your child can connect to your home Wi-Fi network. Teachers will assign a short online activity to help them practice. For families with Kindergarten to Grade 2 students, we've included instructions below to help you connect your child's Chromebook to your Wi-Fi Connect to Wifi (CB)
Reliable Internet Access: We understand that internet access is important for your child's success. If your family has trouble connecting to the internet, you can request a mobile hotspot device. This will provide your child with a portable Wi-Fi connection to use at home for schoolwork.

How to Request a Hotspot:

Please Note:

Chromebooks will be sent home with students on Tuesday, November 19th.
Kindergarten to Grade 2 students: Please return Chromebooks on Wednesday as they are not typically used for daily homework.
Pre-K students will not receive Chromebooks and will be assigned hands-on activities by their teacher in case of a future virtual learning day.

Thankful for for the Kimball Hill Staff - Help us stock the lounge!

Help us stock the staff lounge for Thanksgiving by signing up to donate a treat. We will put a little sign next to your item to let the staff know your family donated it. Donations can be dropped off to 3004 Grouse Lane between November 22 - 24, or brought to the Turkey Trot. If you want to participate but want us to shop, you can make a donation in our Givebacks Store!
