BSES Families,

The holiday concert season is now in full swing! Our fifth grade musicians started off the season with orchestra and band concerts at GHVS at the beginning of the week and included a school performance. Our entire school community enjoyed the sounds of the seasons together. Congratulations to all of our musicians!

Hanukkah began on Wednesday, December 7th. Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights, last for eight days. We wish all of our families celebrating peace and light this holiday season.

Progress reports for the first trimester were released today. Parents should have received an email from Alma with a PDF of the progress report. If you did not receive an email, please see the directions below for viewing the progress report directly in ALMA.

Today we released our first-trimester progress reports. You can access them by following these steps:

1. Log in to Alma at https://bses.getalma.com/home

2. Click on your child on the far left side

3. Click on the report cards tab at the top of the screen

The Holiday Season is here! We’re asking for your help to support “Hearts to Homes,” to help families who are experiencing difficult times during the Holidays. Hearts to Homes has combined with our Garnet Valley Communities that Cares (GVCTC). The Garnet Valley CTC engages its community and schools in a partnership to support, educate, parent and prepare our children to grow into healthy adults.This partnership will make our support for students and families stronger and more sustainable.

The BSES Annual Spelling Bee for students in grades 3-5 will be held on Monday, February 12th.

An informational session for parents was held via Zoom on Thursday, December 7. To see the information shared with parents, click here. Spelling lists will be available in the main office on Monday morning.

This past January, Bethel Springs raised over $9,000 for the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware during our Coin Wars competitions!! On Thursday, December 14th from 6:00-7:00 pm, students and families from Bethel Springs are invited to join in the lighting ceremony as our school will have a tree dedicated in our name. Enjoy a visit from Santa, Olaf, and various princesses as well as light refreshments. No need to RSVP, just show up!
