This year, we'll be experimenting with a new system for signing up for field trips, recording hours and some small training elements. If you received a stipend last year, you'll be input into the system with a username and password and you'll be able to log in and see the hours you've completed so far for the programs. You'll also be able to sign up for trainings and field trips from your account on the portal. If you did not volunteer last year and did not receive a stipend in the 2023-2024 school year, you'll be able to create your own account here. Once your account is set up, you'll be guided through whichever steps you're needing to take to complete your volunteer eligibility--fingerprinting or a TB test.
With the portal you'll be able to:
- Sign up for individual field trips as soon as they get scheduled with the teachers (including signing up for which subject you'd like to teach on the trip)
- Have access to your sign ups so you know what you're on the calendar for
- Track your volunteer hours (if you ever need to submit them to any outside entity)
- Track your stipend amount and request when you'd like to receive it
- Fill out any stipend related paperwork (W-9)
- Remove yourself from trips you're no longer able to attend
- See who else is signed up for the trips you're working on
- Participate in online versions of some of our in-person trainings
- Deepen your outdoor education skills with new trainings like Questioning Strategies, the Learning Cycle, Behavior Management and more!
- Easily share this volunteer program with friends and family who may be interested.
