From Miss Angela
Welcome back! Today marks the beginning of the end (of the school year). We have a very busy spring season lined up for all our families with field trips, spring performances, standardized testing, etc. Please check your emails for grade-specific information and updates.
-Before you know it, spring plays will be happening and then May will be upon us. Third-quarter parent conferences are a great time to meet and gather feedback and next steps for your children. We look forward to seeing you all on Friday, April 19th for those conferences.
-We are excited to share with you that Miss Erin (6th grade) and her husband welcomed their baby boy, Hayes Collin, last Wednesday. Hayes weighed 7lbs 9oz and was 20" long. Both mama and baby are doing well.
-Re-Enrollment is now open. You will need to re-enroll through Campus Connect. If you have not received an email from Campus Connect, please see Miss Cilisa in the office for assistance.
-If you need some extra time to commit for re-enrollment but want to make sure a space is saved for your family, please reach out to the office so we can help.
VAP will be offering Spring Camp (K-6). The cost is $250 per week (March 25-29 and April 1 - 5). Families can sign up for one or both weeks. There will not be a daily drop-in rate. The hours will be 6:30 - 5:30 pm. The camp day will consist of art projects, steam activities, and outdoor games. There will NOT be a hot lunch offered. All billing will go through ALMA and will be billed before camp starts. If you are interested please fill out this form.
Reminder: Pinewood Derby Cars Are Due This Wednesday
Spring CTP Testing Dates
The CTP tests will be administered to grades one and two the week of April 22nd. Grades three, four, and five will begin testing the week of April 29th. Middle school will begin testing on May 2nd and finish by May 10th. Our testing window closes on May 10th. More specific information will be shared in the coming weeks.
Parking After School
We kindly remind you to refrain from parking in handicap parking spots without the appropriate placards, and to avoid double parking in the fire lanes during high volume times.
Respecting handicap parking spaces is essential to accommodate those with mobility challenges. Using these spots without the appropriate placards not only hinders accessibility but is also against the law.
Additionally, double parking in fire lanes poses a serious safety risk, especially during busy periods. In case the designated parking areas are full, we recommend utilizing street parking or parking at the church next door.
Dress Code Reminders
-With the cool morning and afternoon temperatures, please make sure your child has their VAP outerwear. Additionally, now is the time to make sure that your child is meeting all dress code requirements including shoes, belts, outerwear, and haircuts and personal jewelry.
Tuition
Tuition is due on the first of each month. Please make sure your ALMA account is updated. If you have any questions or require any assistance, please stop by the office.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up Locations
Please drop students off at the gymnasium between 6:30 - 7:30 a.m. After 7:30 a.m., students should be dropped at the gate closest to their classroom. Pick-up after 4:30 p.m. will also be in the GYMNASIUM.
