Dodge Traditional Magnet MS
February 2025
Hello Bulldog Families
It's Valentine's and we are sweet on you!
This month we have Parent-Teacher Conferences coming soon!
Student will be dismissed at 12:50PM on Thursday, February 13th and Friday, February 14th. Please reach out to teachers if you feel you need a conference for your child.
Rodeo Break is February 20th and February 21st.
Ben's Bells will be presenting to our students on Valentine's Day. Ben's Bells has shared with our staff research on the importance of kindness on our lives and learning. We are grateful for this community partnership.
We have 10 Dodge students who auditioned and were invited to participate in the TUSD Middle School Honor Band Concert on Tuesday, February 11th at 7PM at Palo Verde High School. We appreciate the efforts our students put into their work every day here under the direction of Dr. Asbill. This opportunity will be in collaboration with the TUSD Fine Arts Department and University of Arizona's Pride of Arizona Marching Band Director, Chad Shoopman.
Our Family Engagement Team is looking for parents/guardians to participate in our annual focus group. We greatly value our school community's feedback and use your contributions to help improve our school. Please email Mrs. Arvayo for more information and if you are interested in participating.
As it gets colder outside, we want to remind our families that the Dodge dress code requires jackets and sweaters that can unzip entirely down the front. Please help your child come to school ready to go. We are still gathering votes for our Dress Code updates. You can vote at the QR below or at click on this link.

Dodge School Council
Our school council is a vital part of the Dodge community.
Our Facilitator for the 2024-2025 school year is Mr. Thomas Mery at Thomas.Mery@tusd1.org.
The next meeting is Wednesday, December 4th at 4PM.
Tax Credit Opportunities
You can help our students get the most out of school years by making contributions through Arizona's tax-credit programs. Contributing is easy, and the impact is immense. This year, Dodge was able to support students with fees, attend events and competitions, attire for our new folklorico club, and sent students to Sky School.
Everyone you know who lives in Arizona can help improve education at your child's school by making a tax credit contribution.
Every contribution, from $5 to $400, makes a difference.
So please, ask everyone you know to Give Kids the Extra Credit.
Information
Dodge Student Dress Code
In addition to the TUSD Dress Code, Dodge has the additional board approved items.
Dress Code not uniforms – white, light blue or dark (forest) green shirts with collars and sleeves; black or khaki pants. Dresses or Jumpers must be solid colored in black or tan or match the dress code top garment color choices (listed above) in cotton or cotton twill blends. Dresses must have a sleeve or be worn over a dress code top. No pullover hoodies allowed. Jackets with college/university logos are allowed providing the jacket is still able to completely open down the front.
Drop Off/Pick Up
It is very important to us that our children are safe during arrival and dismissal. Please plan for the process to take longer than usual at the beginning of the year. Students are still navigating the campus and learning the process.
The bus bay is located at the front of our school on E. Pima St. There is no parent drop-off or pick-up at this location.
Parent drop off/pick up:
To use our main parking lot entrance, follow the flow of traffic around the lot. Students will enter and exit campus through the gate at the north end of the parking lot. Please watch for direction from our staff. It is our goal to get you in and out of the lot as quickly and safely as possible. Cars are not to pass or cut across the parking lot. We realize for the first few days this may be a longer process than usual. We appreciate your cooperation in advance.
We also have access for parent pick up/drop off on the east side of our campus on N. Sahuara Ave. When using this curbside access, we ask that you not have students cross the flow of cars. Instead pull up to the curb for them to safely get into the passenger side of your vehicle.
