Principal's Place
March is here and with it brings all things new! We are looking forward to meeting our future kindergarteners this month at Kindergarten Round Up, March 6th, 5:30 - 6:30 PM.
We are preparing for our upcoming carnival and will be hosting another Better Together Parent involvement meeting on April 1st at 5 PM, I'd love to see many parents there.
We had a blast at our first Books and Bingo night, we were happy to see so many families join us!
Our I love to read week filled our school with a new excitement for reading, thanks to our reading staff for making that happen for our giraffe scholars.
Spring break is upon us as well, wishing you all a great start to spring!

Classroom Connection
Reading excitement
Scholars enjoyed flashlight reading in Ms. Donovan's class during I love to read week!
Black History Month Art Walk
Ms. Charles set up a wonderful art walk with our scholar artists to celebrate and help us learn about Black History leaders.
Market Day
3rd grade Market Day was incredible! The scholars worked hard to create their products, advertise their products and practice their writing skills of persuasive letters as they tried to persuade other 3rd graders to purchase their products.
Hayes Book Club
11 Hayes second graders joined Miss Rouzer and Ms. Lauren for a book club lunch discussion of Magic on the Map #1. The students really enjoyed this book! They shared their favorite and least favorite parts of the story and where they would go if they were characters in the book. Books and snacks were provided by a Fridley Schools Foundation grant.
