Teen Mental Health First Aid
Westwood High School is conducting teen Mental Health First Aid (tMHFA) training for all students in the 9th grade. This is an evidence-based training that teaches teens the skills they need to recognize and help their friends with mental health and substance use problems and crises and how to get the help of an adult quickly.
Lessons will be delivered in our normal health classes. Letters were sent home last week to those students who will be participating this semester. Our plan is to hold a virtual parent/student information night on Monday, September 23rd from 6:00-7:00pm (Parents from 6-6:30 and students from 6:30-7:00pm). Here is a Zoom Link to the meeting.
