From the Principal
Hello Graham Families,
I hope you and your family are doing well. I want to emphasize the importance of consistent attendance as we move through the remainder of the school year. Regular attendance is essential for student progress, as missing class can significantly impact learning.
When students miss instruction, it’s difficult to replicate the teaching and discussions that happen in the classroom. While we can share what was covered, we can’t fully recreate those meaningful moments of learning and collaboration. This can sometimes affect students’ confidence, especially when they feel out of step with their peers during class discussions.
I would greatly appreciate your partnership in ensuring that your child is present and engaged in learning each day. Together, we can support their success in the classroom.
As the temperatures drop, we want to remind everyone to ensure students come to school dressed appropriately for outdoor recess. Recess is an important part of the day, and we want all students to stay warm and comfortable while they enjoy their time outside.
Please send your child with a warm coat, gloves, hat, and other necessary winter gear. If your child needs any of these items, please don’t hesitate to contact us—we’re here to help.
Thank you for your support in keeping our students safe and warm this winter!
As we work together to support your child’s learning, I want to highlight the importance of a good night’s sleep. Adequate rest is vital to your child’s ability to focus, learn, and participate actively in the classroom.
Experts recommend that school-aged children get 9–12 hours of sleep each night. Establishing a consistent bedtime routine and minimizing screen time before bed can help set your child up for a successful day at school.
Thank you for all you do to support your child’s health and learning. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need additional resources!
Best Regards,
Jamie Brooks
