Conferences
Elementary Conferences will be scheduled by homeroom teachers. Please look for information sent by teachers via School Status Connect. For any questions please reach out to your student's teacher.
For Middle School Conferences:
Please join us for an open house, parent-student-teacher conference. An opportunity for families to visit teachers and float around the Hawk wing, Eagle wing and Elective classes. We look forward to seeing you and your student(s) at conferences!

Events: Will be on October 31st
Parade: Starts at 2:40 with Kindergarten and all other grades will be joining throughout the school and will exit the building on the west side of the building by our 1st grade. Students will then parade for families on the west side of the building by the outdoor classroom stairs and will enter the building through the west side cafeteria doors. Families will not enter the building at the front doors, but instead will head on back to the west side to see students in the parade.
Costumes: No masks, gore, weapons. K-4 are not wearing their costumes during the day until the parade/party. 5-8 can wear the basics of their costumes during the day and add accessories later.
Classroom Parties: We are happy to have up to 4 parent volunteers for classroom parties, volunteers must be cleared through our VITAL volunteer system. Teachers will be reaching out soon!
SAVE THE DATE!
Riverview PTCO annual Trunk or Treat event is on Friday October 25th from
5pm-6pm, at the school, in the East parking lot.
There will be candy, games, friends and fun!
Don't forget to vote for your favorite trunk while you're there.
We will post more information regarding candy donations and a sign up for trucks soon.

October is National Bullying Prevention Month
National Bullying Prevention Month focuses on bringing attention to issues and the consequences of bullying and cyberbullying. During this month, many groups, including the federal government, release new resources, sponsor various campaigns, and share educational activities that seek to promote a culture of kindness, respect, and inclusion in their communities.

Join us and become an AUTHORIZED Riverview Volunteer
All volunteers in the Thompson School District must be registered before they are authorized to volunteer at the schools.
This is includes, but is not limited to, activities such as:
Assisting in your child’s classroom
Chaperoning your child’s field trips
Volunteering at events
Register by going to: tsd.org/get-involved/volunteer

Tip: Consider registering your spouse at the same time as yourself!
FYI: If you registered last year, you do NOT need to reregister!
Once you register, the district will provide Riverview with your personalized volunteer badge. When you arrive at the school to volunteer, just find your badge at the front office desk and log in to the volunteer system. This helps us keep track of all the wonderful volunteer hours provided by our Riverview families!
Attendance
Attendance and punctuality are crucial elements for academic success. We kindly request that parents work with their students to prioritize regular attendance and timeliness.
To report excused absences, parents are advised to use either the parent portal or the attendance line, which is 970-613-6666. Click here to learn how to request an absence.
If you have any concerns regarding missed assignments, please contact your student's teacher(s).
Lastly, if your child is marked absent for any period during school hours while they are present, please reach out to their teacher(s).
