Bailey Buccaneer News
Week of November 11, 2024 - SMART TAGS FOR TRANSPORTATION
From the Principal's Desk:
Dear Parents,
Bus Transportation: Smart Tags Required
This week is the first week for full implementation of Smart Tags for Bus transportation. ID's must be worn in school as a part of dress code and as a part of entering the bus. Students will not be allowed to ride the bus without a Smart Tag ID. Replacement IDs can still be purchased online.
The flyer below also shows the link to download the Smart Tag app to track your student's bus.
Although we begin dismissing busses at 4:25PM, we have busses that arrive later due to multiple routes. You can monitor your child bus route each day to see when it arrives by clicking here. When a bus arrives, the route will appear. When it leaves, the route turns green. Please contact the transportation department with any questions or concerns about bus routes and pick-up times. 281-891-6490. http://www.infofinderi.com/ifi/?cid=SI3EP1SK4WO

Privacy and Data:
Our student ID cards are safe and secure. We use PVC cards with a passive RFID chip containing only a unique identification (UID) number. The UID in the chip is read by our card reader, and our system uses it to reference student information. The latest cloud technology, encryption, and security protocols ensure your child’s information is secure.
Please consider purchasing a school sweater for these cooler days. Hoodies are not allowed, but sweaters and jackets with no hood are allowed. Sweaters are on sale and can be accessed on the Bailey Revtrek page.
Bailey has been approved to participate in the Backpack Buddy Program this school year in partnership with the Houston Food Bank. Please sign your child up for this free program.

COUNSELOR'S CORNER
Counselor Corner- 7 MINDSETS SEL CURRICULUM
Hello Parents,
Lesson 3.3 Build Your Dream Team Students will be participating in SEL lesson using 7 Mindsets. The 7 Mindsets are based on a three year research effort that began with the simple question: What do the world’s happiest and most successful people have in common? What emerged from their research was a set of 7 mental habits foundational to an enriched life. The 7 Mindsets are a comprehensive blueprint for happiness, intentionality and success, written in simple, powerful language to teach and activate success strategies for people to live the lives of their dreams. The 7 mental Habits are: Everthing is Possible, Passion First, We Are Connected, 100% Accountable, Attitude of Gratitude, Live to Give, & The Time is Now. Each week you will get a brief description of each of the 7 Mindsets, along with one immediate action you can take as parents to help instill a 7 Mindsets culture in your home. This weeks topic is : Build Your Dream Team- Building a Dream Team is about identifying the individuals who can help us live our dreams. Perhaps they have experience we can draw from, access to resources we will need, or can provide us with critical support as we start the path toward our dreams and face the challenges that will bring. The important step is to recognize the critical role others play our lives, and deliberately begin developing the relationships that will help us.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Jannelle Taylor
