Thank you very much for volunteering your time on Friday for both of these 8th Grade Events!!! Students had a BLAST both during the Trade Show and Fun Day activities which could not happen without our PTO Volunteers. Thanks for being the best out there everyone, until next year!!!
Superintendent Search: Midlothian Community Meeting @ Midlo Middle (May 29 at 6:30PM)
School Board invites input on search for next superintendent
Your opinion matters in the search for the next superintendent of Chesterfield County Public Schools. To gather community input, the Chesterfield County School Board has scheduled in-person community meetings and launched an online survey. Information gathered through this inclusive, research-based approach will help the School Board develop a leadership profile and selection criteria for the next superintendent. More information about the superintendent selection process is available on the school system website, oneccps.org.
Survey
All Chesterfield County residents and school employees are invited to provide their thoughts via an online survey at this link. Parents are encouraged to complete the survey, which will be open through June 3.
Community meetings
Six in-person community meetings and one virtual community meeting will allow Chesterfield County residents and school employees to share information about what they value in public education and what attributes they want in a superintendent. Scheduled throughout the county, the community meetings are open to all:

It's Easy to Recognize Teachers and School Employees
Game Changers: It's easy to recognize the game-changing work of Chesterfield County Public Schools employees, the school system recognizes Game Changers each month. Game Changers are those who step up to meet the needs of students; offer support and access to resources that assist their colleagues; provide an extra layer of support for families outside of the classroom; and who generally make a positive and sometimes life-changing difference in the lives of students, families and their colleagues. Someone You Should Know: Someone You Should Know is a video series designed to share stories about interesting people working in Chesterfield County Public Schools. End-of-Year Medication Pickup
All medications must be picked up by June 4 at 12PM from the school. All medications must be picked up even if your student will attend summer school. Parents of summer school students will need to provide medication for your student to the summer school coordinator at the site your child will be attending at the beginning of the summer session. Please contact your child’s school nurse to request a copy of the medication order for all medications being administered during summer school. You’re invited! El Librotazo, the big book party, is planned for July 9
Chesterfield County Public Schools, in partnership with the Chesterfield Education Foundation and Dominion Energy, is hosting the first El Librotazo: the big book party. During this event, each child in attendance from birth through high school will select 3 to 5 books to keep to add to their home libraries. Books of different genres and in various languages will be available. Additionally, attendees will enjoy activities, cultural performances, a mobile exhibit from the Children’s Museum of Richmond, music, food and more. This free event will be held Tuesday, July 9, at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds from 5-8:30 p.m.
Nominate Hall of Famers by Aug. 31
Nominations are open through Aug. 31 for the next inductees into the Hall of Fame of Chesterfield County Public Schools. Nominees should be memorable educators and volunteers who made a significant difference in Chesterfield County schools. Nomination details and a simple nomination form are available at bit.ly/CCPShall.
