- State Testing for 3rd-5th Grade Students - State testing will continue this week on Tuesday -Thursday for our 3rd-5th grade students. You can help by planning ahead—making sure your child gets a good night's sleep, arrives to school on time, and has a healthy breakfast each day. We also encourage you to continue to have positive conversations with your child about doing their best and showing what they know. More information below in this message.
- Mental Health Awareness Month - At Mission Meadows Elementary School we believe that healthy minds are just as important as healthy bodies! May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a special time to learn and talk about how we think, feel, and take care of ourselves and others. Just like we teach kindness, responsibility, and respect, we also want our students to understand the basics of mental wellness: getting enough sleep, managing big feelings, staying connected with others, and knowing when to ask for help. By bringing awareness to mental health, we create a supportive and caring school community where every student can thrive. Let’s work together to help our children build strong emotional foundations—this month and always!

Staff Appreciation Week
Are you wondering how you can show the teachers and staff how much you appreciate them? Here are a few ideas.
TK-4th Grade Intent to Return to Mission Meadows
Believe it or not, we’re already planning for the next school year—and we need your help! Knowing whether your child will be returning to Mission Meadows Elementary is essential for us to make informed decisions about class placements, staffing, and how to best support all our students.
So far, we’ve heard from less than half of our TK–4th grade families. If you haven’t completed the Intent to Return Survey yet, please take a moment to do so this week. It only takes a minute, and it makes a big difference.
Thank you to everyone who has already responded! Your input helps us set the stage for another successful year at Mission Meadows.
We Need Your Voice - Parent Survey Season
We Need 78 More Parents to Participate so that we can have a Popsicle Party!
There are two important surveys that we are asking all parents or guardians to take between now and May 9th.
- Leader in Me - MRA Staff survey. As we continue our Leader in Me journey, your voice matters! Taking the Leader in Me Parent Survey is an important way for us to reflect on how we are supporting students in developing leadership skills and living out the 8 Habits. The feedback we gather helps us understand what’s working well and where we can grow—both as a staff and as a school community. Thank you for taking a few minutes to complete the survey and for all you do to empower our students every day!
- If we can get at least 100 parents/guardians that complete each of these surveys then all of our Mission Meadows students will receive a special popsicle treat later in May.
3rd-5th Grade State Assessments Continue This Week!
The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) starts this week!
How Parents Can Help?
Please have your child at school on time!
Encourage your students to keep a positive attitude, and always praise their effort and growth.
Remind students that they are capable and prepared to show their learning.
Encourage healthy habits: Get 8-10 hours of sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, get daily exercise, and arrive at school on time each day.
Talk to your teachers about how to support learning at home.
We appreciate your support to help your students practice and build confidence so they are ready to shine on the CAASPP!
