Simpson Elementary School: June 2024 Edition

Field Days

Simpson Field Days are scheduled for next week, 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

3rd Grade: Monday, June 3
4th Grade: Tuesday, June 4
5th Grade: Wednesday, June 5
6th Grade: Thursday, June 6

Students will walk from Simpson down to Kelsey Park to spend their afternoon having all sorts of fun. Times and days are subject to change based on weather forecasts, but the above schedule is what we are anticipating. Students should bring water bottles, wear sturdy shoes, and dress for weather (sun or light rain).

Summer EBT (SUN Bucks)

SUN Bucks is a new program to help families buy food for their school-aged children during the summer. Families will get $120 for each eligible child to buy groceries during the summer. Your child is eligible for SUN Bucks if they have been determined to be eligible for free or reduced price school meals in the 2023-2024 school year. Click here for more information.

Student Medication

If your child takes medication at school, please make arrangements to pick up your child's medication by the last day of school. All remaining medication will be disposed of on June 14.

Unexcused Absences

Please excuse any remaining unexcused absences before the last day of school.

To excuse an absence, click here and log into Skyward Family Access and follow these steps:

Select the Attendance tab on the left side of the screen
Select Absent Request
Select Add Request
Enter the appropriate information regarding your student's absence

You can also excuse an absence by calling the office at 360-249-4331, or emailing us at simpsonskyward@monteschools.org.

Lost and Found

Is your child missing a sweatshirt or jacket? Please have your child check the coat rack outside the library. All unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the school year.

Annual Update

Parents will be to see their child's class placement once they complete the annual update for their child in August. Detailed instructions will be emailed to parents in late August.
