3rd - 5th Grade Assignments

Below, please find the assignments for this week. They may be done at their pace, but should be finished by Thursday evening and shared on Friday, September 18 at the 9:30 am Zoom after chapel. Thank you.

Our spelling continues. Please be sure to do spelling city. I see that most all students are completing these assignments by Thursday evening. Please remember that these assignments constitute part of their English Language Arts grade. Thank you for assuring that they are completing these weekly activities.

After the spelling test on Friday, parents can take a picture of the list and send it via text to 619-865-0690. This week, the 6th student to text me their spelling test will win a prize.

Please have your student write another silly story using 10 or more spelling words. Please have them underline the spelling words as they write them in their blue composition books. The title should be, "SILLY STORY #4". These can be recorded and sent via text or read aloud on Friday. Thank you.

This week's activity includes writing a short summary of each of the "GIFTS" we have received so far. The Golden Globe, the broken light bulb, wooden cross, snowflake. Students should fill out the attached sheet below called the 6 Gifts. We will complete the missing gifts.

Please continue to provide your child with an hour of reading time in a quiet and comfortable area. They should take an AR test upon completing their book. Please keep track of their reading via the READ ACROSS AMERICA Log. As they fill this out, they will gain STATES for their reading medal. If a book does not have an AR test, your child may submit a book report below. Thank you.
