Skyview Eagle Families,
Happy October! Our first Marking Period is getting ready to come to a close on October 11th. Please make sure to be checking FOCUS with your child to review their assignments, grades, test results, and attendance / tardies.
If you are not receiving a weekly call, text and email on Sunday afternoons - call to ensure your contact information is updated. We send school information every Sunday, and when emergencies arise.

Some events to watch out for:
- · This Friday, October 4th **Rescheduled** – Grandparent themed Lunch with Loved Ones...this Friday during their grandchild’s lunchtime. Special photo props and lunchtime in the Media Center for Grandparents.
- · Wednesday, October 9th is Walk your Child to School Day. Location: City Court of Pinellas Park at 7900 60th Street North Pinellas Park Fl. Arriving 7:55-8:05 leaving the park at 8:10am All families and students are welcome to come walk to school together!
- · Monday, October 14th will now be utilized as a Hurricane Make-Up day.
- · October 14th – 18th is Digital Citizenship Week
- · Tuesday, October 15th is our Picture Retake Day
- · Monday, October 21st at 7:45am - our ALL PRO DAD’s Chapter is launching. Inviting all students and their Father Figures to come for a morning of inspiration and connection!
- · October 21-25 we will host our BOOK FAIR all week for students. Families are invited for the evening event that Thursday, and for Lunch with Loved Ones on the 25th.
- · October 24th – Report Cards go home
- · October 24th – 6:00pm – Spooky Stories, Trunk or Treat, Book Fair, and Content Night
- · October 28th – November 1st is Red Ribbon Week

Dreambox Math
Kindergarten - 2nd Grade students are expected to complete 5 Dreambox lessons per week independently.
3rd - 5th Grade students are expected to complete 10 Dreambox lessons per week independently.
I-Station - ELA
Students take a monthly assessment which provides important information about their progress in ELA. They are then provided lessons specific to their needs. It is important that students spend 30 minutes per week on their I-Station pathway.

All student absences should be sent in via the "Report Student Absence" on our school website. You could also call or send an email to Mrs. Diaz at727-547-7857 ext. 2007 or diazl@pcsb.org or upload documentation into FOCUS.

Lunch with Loved Ones
Fridays on-going **Must bring your Drivers License or other ID** and be listed on your child's FOCUS account.
You may eat lunch outside with your child (and only your child - no friends, sorry) at one of our picnic tables. Media Center is only for use in the event of rain. Please be sure to arrive early to give time for the signing-in process.

New information regarding birthday celebrations:
***We no longer can allow families to send in birthday treats/cupcakes/cookies/etc. We must follow the “Smart Snack” compliance which is a part of statute. Two options...you could send in a gift bag of toys/fidgets/party favors for the classmates to take home OR you could put additional funds on their child’s account to allow them to purchase the “Smart Snack” compliant treats through our Café treats for the whole class on that Friday of their birthday week.***
