SERGI VISITS OUR CLASS AND DRAWS FOR US

Ms. Prieto´s son, Sergi, came to our class on Friday as he had no class in Irving ISD where he works as the art teacher of an elementary school. We enjoyed his drawings. Thank you, Sergi! Come back soon!

LOOK OUR ROCKS ARE BEAUTIFUL!

We were learning about rocks (in Spanish we called them minerales) Pearl and Rafa wanted to show us theirs. These are really amazing! Thank you for sharing, Pearl and Rafa!

What are we learning this week?

Reading Context clues and sequence, analyzing a poem.

Math: 4 digit numbers, perimeter and area.

IXL to do for this week: 3r Grade B1, B2, FF1, FF2, FF6

Writing: A letter

Grammar: Elements of a dialogue, review of spelling

Social Studies: Cinco de Mayo and sculptures in Dallas (Cattle Drive, etc.)

Project: My favorite Spanish-speaking country. Project to be done in groups. Presentation will be on May 17th. Information to parents this week.

Poem: Margarita by Rubén Darío (second part)

Moral: Hasta el cuarenta de mayo, no te quites el sayo. Do not take out your jacket until May 40th - meaning it can be still cold even in June.
