Leadership Message
Dear St. Luke Families,
We had a very busy week at St. Luke. Monday we were privileged to host a Digital Wellbeing workshop for parents which was attended by our school community and parents from ABJ, OLPH and Holy Spirit. One really good resource for parents that was recommended by Strathcona County is the website Common Sense Media. This website has many useful resources for parents on how to keep their children safe online. Check it out!
Wednesday night was our Community Engagement get together with Mr. Paul Corrigan our EICS Superintendent. It was a great night of conversation looking at possibilities for next year. Look for more information to come out next week.
Our Faith and Wellness Day was on Thursday and we saw many community partners such as Apple Schools come out and share their expertise with our students and parents. The students loved the day with all of our presenters. A very special rainbow salad and smoothies were a hit with our students and we thank all the parents who helped get these ready and served them to our students. If you would like to see pictures from the day please check out our St.Luke Facebook Page.
Today our elementary students were involved in building leprechaun traps. Many different creations were built. You could really see the problem solving students were doing as they made improvements to their traps. I wonder if we will catch any leprechauns.
Just a friendly reminder that school fees are now past due. Please log in to your account to rectify any outstanding balances as soon as possible. It is important for the school to pay outstanding balances on student generated funded projects and initiatives. Your cooperation is much appreciated.
As we continue on our Lenten journey students are reminded everyday to be kind to those around them, to pray for those who need a prayer, and to love ourselves. I hope through your Lenten journey you are finding the peace and the love of the Lord.
Enjoy the beautiful weather God has given us this weekend,
Cathy Hinger
