Great Job Waikiki School at the Honolulu District Speech Festival!

Congratulations to our Waikiki School students who showcased their communication skills at the 34th Annual TEXACO HONOLULU DISTRICT Speech Festival this past Saturday, April 13, 2024.

The Speech Festival is a great venue for students who enjoy poems and stories, are responsible risk takers, like public speaking, and have a flair for dramatics.

Mahalo also goes out to Waikiki's fantastic cafeteria staff under the leadership of cafe manager Chanon Shimizu for providing the judges their delicious breakfast buffet. Additional thanks goes out to Waikiki teachers Mrs. Okamura, Ms. Wada, and Mrs. Peroff for assisting with the set-up and clean-up in the judges room. Your time and dedication to our keiki is so greatly appreciated!

For families of English Learner students, you are invited to attend Waikiki Schoolʻs End-of-Year EL Parent Meeting on May 16, 2024 at 4:30 pm in the school library. Our EL team will be going over the results of the WIDA ACCESS assessment.
