Windermere Weekly Update
May 20 - May 24
Congratulations!
If you didn't already know, we have the best of the best here at Windermere! Last week we celebrated 4 incredible teachers at our annual district awards banquet.
Ms. Reshanta Stewart will be retiring after 33 years of teaching. 30 of those years were spent here at Windermere. We will genuinely miss her next year, but we're so excited for her new adventures!
Back in March we announced our winners of our campus awards and they were also recognized at the banquet last week. Ms. Alexa Torres won Rookie Teacher of the Year, Ms. Bridgett Thompson won Humanitarian of the Year and Ms. Rebecca Feronti won Teacher of the year.
But also, a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Ms. Rebecca Feronti for winning District Elementary Teacher of the Year!
I couldn't be more proud of the talent but also of the heart of these amazing educators! Windermere is a better place because of the impact each of these women have had on this school!
New Security System In Place
You will no longer be able to enter the office without being buzzed in. The outside door to the building that have always been unlocked during the day will still be unlocked. When you enter the vestibule, you will turn to the window on your left. Push the button which will alert someone that you're there. Depending on your need(s) you'll either be asked to wait in the vestibule or you'll be buzzed into the office.

Awards Ceremonies
For Pegasus Awards, you will sign in at the main office on the Grand Ave. entrance and go to Ms. Gallegos' room. You will need your ID.
For the 5th grade completion ceremony you will also go to the Grand Ave. entrance and sign in at a table. The ceremony will be in the gym on the Grand Ave. side.
SLP Day!
Ms. Hagenow and Ms. Jaekel are our Speech an Language Pathologists and we're so lucky to have them at Windermere! Both of these ladies won multiple grants for communications projects this year on our campus! Please thank these ladies for their expertise and all they do to help our students be better communicators!
