SKI TRIP TO LES DUEX ALPES, FRANCE

Saturday 28 March 2026 – Friday 3 April 2026

I am pleased to inform you that St James’ will once again be running a ski trip during the Easter holidays next year. We have ran many successful ski trips over the years however this is our first to France. We have chosen the resort Les Duex Alps in the Oisans region, where the skiing is ideal for both beginners and intermediates, offering an excellent opportunity for improvement on the wide-open snowfields. We will be staying in the heart of region at Le Chalet Les Glaciers.

The fully inclusive cost of the trip is £1,620.00, which includes:

• Fully comprehensive winter sports travel insurance
• Return coach transfers from School to a London airport
• Return Flights from the UK to France
• 20kg hold baggage allowance
• Coach transfers within France
• Full board accommodation; Buffet breakfast, midday hot lunch on the mountain and a two course evening meal
• Hire of skis, poles, boots, ski helmet and ski pass
• Five days of four hour ski lessons and an hour supervised lunch with a qualified ski instructor
• Evening entertainment (for example pizza evening, swimming, disco, slalom race and presentation evening)
• Personalised Ski Hoodie

Skiing is an exhilarating but high-risk sport and although our insurance will cover any medical expenses, it is necessary to think about the possibility of injury. Skiing is also a tiring sport and it is worth considering the suitability of your child for this trip. However, past pupils have found the trip to be one of the most enjoyable and beneficial experiences they have had.

If you would like your child to participate, a non-refundable deposit of £162.00 will be required. Followed by a further nine monthly instalments of £162.00. In order to secure your child a place the deposit is required to be paid through your ARBOR account. The service will be open at 9:00am on Monday 17 March 2025.

Spaces are limited to 40 pupils and allocated on a first come, first served basis. If the number exceeds 40, a waiting list will be in put place. Once your payment has been successful, please complete the Permission and Agreement form attached and return to the Finance Office as soon as possible.

It is important to note that by paying the deposit you are accepting financial responsibility for the total cost of the trip. Payments can be made at any time through your ARBOR account, however, balances must be kept up to date with the full cost of the trip being paid by 1 December 2025. If payments are not kept up to date the pupils place on the trip will be withdrawn and, as in terms and conditions set out by Select School Skiing, cancellation charges will be due which may be the full cost of the trip.

If you withdraw your child from the trip for any reason we will try to fill the space however if that is not possible you will be liable for cancellation charges, as in the terms and conditions set out by Select School Skiing.

Please note: In line with the School Trip Policy, we reserve the right to withdraw a pupil from the trip at any time if their attitude, attendance and behaviour falls below expected standards.
