Meet the Falling Waters Bluebirds!

You voted, and with 930 votes received, the Spring Mills school community overwhelmingly chose the Bluebirds as the mascot for the Falling Waters Elementary School! The school's colors will be blue, white, and red. Here's a breakdown of the final vote:

• Bluebirds: 634 votes
• Explorers: 296 votes

Now that we have a mascot, we are inviting students to put their artistic abilities on display by helping us create the school's new logo! Participating in this fun summer assignment is completely voluntary, and we are accepting submissions from now until January 3, 2025. Please review the contest rules and regulations below for more information.

1. Participants must be a CURRENT Berkeley County Schools student (in-person or virtual) in Grades K-12 for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.
2. Participants must attend one of the following schools: Bedington Elementary School, Marlowe Elementary School, Spring Mills Primary School, Potomack Intermediate School, Spring Mills Middle School, or Spring Mills High School. If you are a virtual school student, your home school must also be one of those schools.
3. The mascot for the Falling Waters Elementary school is the Bluebirds. Entries must also resemble a circle and contain the words "Falling Waters Elementary School." Please note the example in the thumbnail.
4. Entries must be original and the intellectual property of the person designing it. Trademarked and/or copyrighted material will not be accepted.
5. Entires MUST include the following information:

• Student Name
• Parent/Caregiver Name (if student is under the age of 18)
• School
• Grade
• Best Contact Phone Number
• Email Address (if applicable)

Entries will be judged by the Falling Waters Elementary School Branding Committee. The winning entry will inspire the new logo to be created by graphic design students from James Rumsey Technical Institute. The winning entry will be announced next month.
