2025 Minnesota Student Survey
Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 is planning to participate in the 2025 Minnesota Student Survey. The survey is an anonymous statewide school-based survey conducted to gain insights into the world of students and their experiences. Taken in grades 5, 8, 9, and 11, students respond to questions about how well school is going, future plans, out-of-school activities, physical and mental health, relationships, substance use and more. High school students are asked about sexual behavior. This useful information about their thoughts and behaviors helps communities and schools develop effective programs and provide better services.
School districts, local public health agencies and community nonprofits use local data to plan programs and to obtain grant funding. State agencies use the results to monitor trends, to assess the extent of disparities among population groups, to obtain federal and state funding and to assist local communities and schools. For more information about the MN Student Survey, visit the Minnesota Department of Education website.
The survey is voluntary and anonymous. To prevent individuals or families from being identified, students do not provide their names, student identification, or other personally identifying information. Parents are able to preview the survey and may choose not to have their child participate. The survey can be viewed by request at the District Office by contacting Brandon Lowe, Data & Assessment Coordinator at blowe@isd191.org.
The survey will take place on March 17-21. Contact your child’s school no later than March 7 if you do not want your child to participate in this activity.
