Falcon Flyer for Families!
March 11-March 15, 2024
Falcon Families!
Welcome to the final week of Quarter 3! This week, students will have benchmarks in classes, and they will have the opportunity to turn in missing assignments and make up necessary tests as teachers will be turning in grades to administrators by the end of Friday, March 15. Please make sure that your student takes all the opportunities provided this week, whether it be tutoring or working lunch, so that he/she can end the quarter with the highest grade possible.
Tuesday, we had an amazing "Meet and Greet" with our rising 6th graders. We are excited about welcoming our newest Falcon Family members, and we look forward to greeting them again on Tuesday for "Jump Up" day! Thank you to all the faculty and students who were able to welcome our Falcons and show/tell them about our wonderful school.
In latest news, Dr. Schmolze announced on Wednesday, March 6 that Rock Hill School District 3 will become the first district in South Carolina to be a "Leader in Me" district. This is an exciting opportunity for all, and Sullivan has decided to start the journey in 2024-2025! "Leader in Me" is designed by Muriel Summers and FranklinCovey Group; it is a research-based and utilizes the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People along with other best practices to grow all students as leaders. We are excited about this opportunity and know it will greatly benefit our entire community. To learn more about Leader in Me, go HERE.
Make it a great week, Falcons!

SIC--Sullivan Teacher for A Day!
Want to know how the school day looks from “inside”? SIC invites all parents and Sullivan friends to participate in a “Teacher for the Day” program being held on March 20, 2024! We view this occasion as a chance for parents and community partners to experience the normal day-to-day operations of teachers in an effort to build empathy and explore additional opportunities for collaboration.
If you choose to participate you will be paired with a Sullivan teacher and will shadow their routine from approximately 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. You will then join us for a debrief with the SIC team. The day will conclude by 11 AM.
Please use this link to show your interest in participating. You will not be placed in a classroom with your own child. The last day to sign up is Tuesday, March 12!
Thanks for considering taking part in this unique learning opportunity,
The Sullivan SIC
Talented Teachers!
We have some amazing and talented teachers at Sullivan! Ms. Poe is a 8th grade mathteacher, and she is an outstanding example of excellent teaching learning in her classroom! Ms Poe is a graduate of Winthrop University, and she loves helping students feel confident in math and apply real-world examples to what they're learning!
