Keep them talking!
Do you ever ask your child about his/her day and you get a one word answer? or a shrug? Use these questions to find out more about your child's day!
GT -What are your overall thoughts on Unit 2?
Health 6 -What are several things you can do to help boost your immune system?
Careers 6 - Can you explain the "7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens?"
Science 7 -What is the mass in the product of a chemical reaction when the mass of the reactants is 25 g?
Science 6 -How is energy involved in the water cycle?
Keycode 6/7 - What does the "e" in email stand for?
SS 6 - What are the physical characteristics of Ancient China that caused it to be "isolated"? Explain.
SS 7 -What was the Boston Tea Party?
Acc. Math 7 -What is unique about the equation for an undefined slope?
Math 6 -What is your favorite tool to find equivalent ratios? (Table, Double Number Line, Tape Diagram); List a ratio and then show someone how you use your tool to find an equivalent ratio.
Math 7 -How do you know if a table is proportional or non-proportional?
ELA 6 -What does CER stand for?
ELA 7 - What must you know before you can write a main idea for a text?
BAND - Which days do you plan to practice your instrument at home this week? (5 days per week - minimum of 15-20 minutes per session is expected) Also, how many of your 2nd quarter pass-offs have you done so far? (Students may show you their Band Objective Sheet. The "H" stamp shows mastery of skills.)
PE - What did you do this week to help you stay healthy?

Congratulations Cross-Country Runners!
We are so proud of all of our runners. Out of all our runners, we had thirty-eight students run a personal record at the conference meet on October 29th.
Our own Kaleb Fuqua (pictured here) placed 13th for the 7th/8th grade conference race.
Information about the spring track season will be coming after Thanksgiving break.

Halloween Fun!
7th Grade Science classes have learned how molecules are affected by thermal energy and how thermal energy changes states of matter. On Halloween, we investigated the unique properties of sublimation (transforming from solid to gas) with dry ice and had some fun!

Camp War Eagle
WHAT: Camp War Eagle, a premier summer camp located on Beaver Lake in Rogers, Arkansas. Each summer we serve thousands of children and teenagers from Northwest Arkansas. Click HERE for a fun video to see some activities!
WHY: Camp War Eagle is safe, a place for personal growth, and FUN! Camp offers amazing programming and can be affordable for all families with our sliding-scale tuition rates.
WHEN: Applications for Summer 2025 have already been released and our priority enrollment deadline is December 15th! Even though applications will be accepted all year, it is important for families to turn in their applications early to increase their chances of placement.
