PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Parents and Guardians,
I want to take a moment to wish all our students, families, and staff a relaxing and enjoyable time off during spring break. Whether you're traveling or staying close to home, I encourage everyone to take this time to rest, recharge, and enjoy some well-deserved time away from school.
When we return from spring break, we will be entering a period of spring testing for our students. These assessments are an important opportunity for students to demonstrate their progress and abilities. Please make sure your child is prepared and ready to give their best effort. Please see below for more detailed information regarding spring testing.
Reminder, school is closed March 24 - March 31 for Spring Break. School will resume on Tuesday, April 1.
Sincerely,
Chris Reeve

SAT - WORKKEYS
11th grade families, here is a reminder about two important assessments that will be taking place in April: the SAT and WorkKeys.
These tests are essential components of the state-required assessments for our 11th-grade students, and they provide valuable insights into their academic progress and future opportunities.
SAT Testing for 11th Graders:
The SAT is a widely recognized college admissions test that measures students’ readiness for postsecondary education. The SAT assesses skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. The results of this test are not only important for college admissions, but they also provide a clear picture of your child's academic strengths and areas where they may need additional support. The SAT is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9 and we encourage all students to approach this test with confidence and focus.
WorkKeys Testing for 11th Graders:
In addition to the SAT, all 11th-grade students will also take the WorkKeys assessment, which is designed to measure essential workplace skills in areas such as applied math, workplace documents, and graphic literacy. WorkKeys is valuable for students pursuing career paths directly after high school, as it helps to assess their preparedness for entering the workforce.
PSAT TESTING
8th - 10th grade families, here is an important reminder regarding the upcoming PSAT testing.
Testing for students in Grades 8-10 will take place during the month of April. Specific testing dates will be communicated in the coming weeks, so please be sure to check for further details. Students will be assessed in reading, writing, and math.
The PSAT is a great opportunity for students to practice the types of questions they will encounter on future college entrance exams, like the SAT, and to measure their academic progress. The PSAT also serves as a predictive measure as to how students will perform on the SAT, and allows schools to identify areas of growth for students and set educational goals.
M-STEP TESTING
As we prepare for the upcoming M-STEP (Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress) in April, here is some important information and reminders for our students and families.
Testing for students in Grades 6-8 and Grade 11 will take place during the month of April. Specific testing dates will be shared in the coming weeks, so please be sure to check for further updates.
What to Expect:
- 6th Grade: Students will be assessed in English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics.
- 7th Grade: Students will be assessed in English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics.
- 8th Grade: Students will be assessed in English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
- 11th Grade: Students will be assessed in Science and Social Studies.
The M-STEP is an important opportunity for our students to showcase what they have learned throughout the year. Please encourage your child to approach the test with confidence and take their time to answer each question thoughtfully..
