Whispering Ridge Families,
As we step into March, we continue to focus on learning, growth, and community connections at Whispering Ridge Community School. With spring just around the corner, we look forward to the energy and excitement that comes with this time of year.
I want to take a moment to encourage parents of students in Grades 4 and 7 to complete the anonymous Government Assurance Survey that has been sent home. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us understand what is working well and where we can continue to grow as a school. Your voice truly makes a difference!
New this year, was the addition of options classes for grades 4-6 students and wow has it ever been amazing to watch our teachers bring these classes to life! Seeing the opportunities and experiences provided to our students across grades 4-8 has been reaffirming that this was a step in the right direction. A few highlights have included:
• Utilizing the County Sportsplex (skating, hockey, soccer, etc.)
• Travelling to the Creative Arts Centre to enjoy hands-on learning
• Visiting Extreme RC & Hobby for our STEM students
• Learning Jujitsu and Boxing at Champion Gym
• Focusing on fitness with V02 Max
• Honing volleyball skills with college players/coaches at NWP
• Learning to sew and cook delicious meals
• Exploring culture and French Language
Thank you for your continued support in making WRCS a wonderful place for our students to learn and thrive. We are always so in awe of the parent support we receive day-in day-out, and it makes all the difference. Together, we can raise a wonderful next generation of citizens who are responsible, empathetic, critical thinkers, and valued members of their community.

School Fees
SCHOOL FEES In order to ensure we can continue to offer enriching learning experiences and optimal programming for our students, we are instating a small school fee for students in grades 1-8. The school administration team worked with our School Council group to weigh the pros and cons, and to ensure that this decision was supported moving forward. School fees are $30 per student, and these are payable cash, check, or online (link will be shared on our website). Options Grades 4-8
