Halloween is a fun evening for children and families. Please plan ahead to ensure our Huskies stay safe.

🎃Trick - or- Treating Tips

• Pick a well-lit route with few street crossings.
• A parent or responsible adult should go with young children. Older children should stay in a group and be in touch with you.
• Add reflective tape to costumes and bags to help drivers see kids.
• Light-colored clothing can help kids be seen.
• Face paint is better than masks, which can obstruct vision.
• Stop at stop signs, yield at yield signs, and use crosswalks and signals when needed.
• Walk on sidewalks, and if there's no sidewalk, walk on edge of the road facing traffic.
• Before eating, an adult should inspect all treats for choking hazards, and throw away any that aren't sealed or are from strangers.
• If your child has allergies, read candy labels carefully.
• Avoid homemade treats from strangers.
• Never go inside a home or car for treats.

• Parents may attend FOR FREE
• Classes for developing parent leadership skills and support at home
• Please be sure to check in with the office and have a valid photo ID

🔴Red Ribbon Week October 28-November 1st

• Information will be provided soon regarding a Spirit Week with fun dress up days
• Individual classrooms will participate in a door contest
• Students will sign a pledge

🦷SMILE Programs Coming Back to Oakwood Friday, November 1st!

Smile Programs is a mobile dentist program established to address chronic issues in children dental care by offering in-school dental care, bringing the care to the need at NO COST TO our school or Oakwood families. Take advantage of this great opportunity for your child to receive in school dental care by enrolling here .

Attention Oakwood Families! We need your help!

Many students are being dropped off at the east gate 15-20 minutes before gates open at 7:30. Students are not allowed on campus until 7:30. Please help us keep our students safe by not sending them to school and/or dropping them off before this time. Staff are not available for supervision until 7:30. We thank you advance for your understanding.

We are excited to announce that this year, families are able to verify their child's elementary school teacher and secondary school class schedule through our online data confirmation process. As of July 19, 2024, parents who have completed the online data confirmation will be able to access this information. We encourage all parents to complete the online data confirmation process by following the instructions in the flyer below.

This important step will allow you to update your child's emergency contact info while also helping to support our school site with additional funding!

We are excited to send on Max Serrano (site representative) and Aurora Morin (site alternative) to the North Stockton District Spelling Bee this week! Good luck!

Thank you for attending our 🎃Oakwood Halloween Walk Thru event last week! We enjoyed seeing our Husky families dressed up in costumes, and enjoying a fun, family event on campus!

And a BIG thank you to all the families that donated candy! We cannot pull off this event with out your donations and we are so appreciative.

Any adults and/or non-Oakwood students will need to show identification anytime you come on campus, for any reason. Our office staff uses the ID to scan into our system to produce a badge that must be worn while on campus.

Please check in at the office and bring your ID! 8:30-10:30.
