Happy New Year, and welcome back! I hope your winter break was filled with relaxation, joy and quality time with loved ones. As we step into the second half of the school year, I am filled with excitement for all the opportunities that lie ahead for our students and our school community.

This is a pivotal time for growth, discovery, and connection. Together, we will continue to nurture a positive and inclusive environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Your partnership and support are essential to this work, and I am grateful for the trust you place in us each day.

Let’s make the rest of the school year a time of great success, meaningful accomplishments, and lasting memories for all. Thank you for being such an important part of the Oak Grove family.

We would like to take a moment to recognize Oak Grove 8th grader Abhinav Mandal, who recently won the Design-a-Bookmark Contest hosted by Cook County. Abhinav's entry was selected as one of the top four from 8th grade across various schools in Cook County. Well done, and congratulations!

We would like to recognize the following students for their achievement of obtaining a perfect score on the State assessments last spring. These students received a perfect score on either the Illinois Assessment of Readiness for English Language Arts or Math, or a perfect score on the Illinois Science Assessment. Great job, Eagles!
